Tips for Protection |
|
Things to do while on vacation: 1. Have someone mow your lawn 2. Stop your mail and newspapers or have neighbors pick them up for you 3. Put lights on timers and have at least one light on during the nighttime hours 4. Set your sprinklers to automatically turn on 5. If you have outdoor plants, have a neighbor come over and water them General Tips: 1. Get involved! The program only succeeds when people are willing to keep it going 2. Getting to know your neighbors can help prevent crime because people familiar with what’s going on at their neighbors house will know when things aren’t right 3. If you see anything out of the ordinary, call 911 4. If people are at the park after hours, you can call the Sarpy Count Sheriff to patrol the area and ask them to leave
